Sometimes the dates when you must leave your old property and move into your new one do not coincide. This is easily taken care of. We collect your possessions from your current address, move them into safe storage, and then bring your possessions to your new address when you are ready.
As a courtesy, we are happy to store for periods of up to one month the odd box or two or item of furniture for customers free of charge. However, for bulk storage in clean, dry, secure, insured facilities, we recommend Crown Storage Ltd of Victoria [between Bodmin and St Austell]. Customers should make their own arrangements with this, or a similar company. We simply charge a fee for transporting goods to and from the storage facility
Customers should be wary of firms offering storage facilities in metal containers exposed to the elements. Experience tells us that these containers can suffer from rodent/insect infestation, excessive heat in the summer and severe damp/condensation problems in the winter. These conditions have been known to cause [sometimes immediately unnoticeable] damage to wood and fabrics, degradation of books, photos and other printed material, discoloration/rising of wooden veneered surfaces, corrosion of contacts in electrical items, corrosion of metallic surfaces and loosening of wooden/glued furniture joints.
